Spirit made flesh.
Covered in wrinkled brown skin
thick enough to weather every woe the world can offer up.
Embodiment of the divine – transcendent of time.
Comforting, because Her image is made within you.
You know her as memories of mama and aunties.
And Mema.
Ms. Sophie knows things – more than eternity has forgotten,
(And for this reason, repeats.)
But Wisdom evades
Those who don't believe
She already exists within us.
